No custom Alert Sounds in Windows Phone emulator
Posted August 11th, 2012, 02:08:00 . 0 Comments .
2 weeks ago WPCentral claimed Windows Phone 8 would have custom audio alert sounds. Now MimovilWindows has been able to check out this feature in the leaked Windows Phone 8 emulator.
They report unfortunately that while alert sounds can be selected, this is no different from Windows Phone 7, and users will only be able to select from a small list of pre-loaded alert sounds.
There is a smidgen of good news however. The emulator contains 4 new pre-loaded alert sounds:
- Windows message
- Windows reminder
- Windows voicemail
- Windows email
Everything else is pretty much the same as Windows Phone 7.5, which is somewhat disappointing for this much-requested feature.
